Job Description
Immediate Opening for a Part-Time Collections Specialist!
FLEXIBLE HOURS Available for the Collections Specialist - up to 29 hours per week.
Rate of Pay for the Collections Specialist is $16.00 to $18.00 depending on experience.
Job Scope: To manage the credit and collections process by reviewing accounts receivable aging and resolving payment disputes with customers. This is a hands-on position, contacting customers to collect past-due balances.
Essential Functions for the Collections Specialist Include:
*Contacting customers and collecting accounts that are past due via telephone and email.
*Dispute resolution between customer and the company involving pricing errors, missing or damaged product, and replacement.
*Send out missing statements or invoice copies upon request from the customer.
*Follow up with customers regularly on promises for payment.
*Charge back customers for discounts and unauthorized deductions that have been taken by the customer.
*Provide customers with signed proof of delivery upon request.
Minimum Required Qualifications for the Collections Specialist Include:
*Previous experience in customer service or collections is preferred.
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with internal staff and customers.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
*Strong math aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy.
*Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
*Highly experienced Microsoft Office and Excel user.
