Immediate Opening for an Accounting Clerk in Quincy, IL

Salary range for the Accounting Clerk is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
Essential Functions for the Accounting Clerk:
*Process payments and verify invoices.
*Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions.
*Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
*Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
*Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers.
*Manage recurring invoicing, including entering invoices against PO's.
*Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
Minimum Required Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:
*High School Diploma or equivalent required.
*College accounting course work preferred, QuickBooks experience an advantage.
*1 year performing similar functions.
*Proficient with MS Office required.
*Knowledge of accounting principles and practices preferred.
*Good verbal and written communication skills required.
