Now Hiring for Fleet Managers!
Rate of pay for the Fleet Manager is Negotiable Based on Background and Qualifications.
Full-Time Hours for the Fleet Manager are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Our client is in search of a self-motivated individual with great relationship-building skills to join their team as a Fleet Manager.
Day in the Job Preview: The Fleet Manager is a master planner and helper. You will be focused on managing schedules, loads, and making sure driving teams have the information they need to meet customer expectations. Your job is to help drivers stay organized, so they can work safe and on schedule.
Essential Functions for the Fleet Manager Include:
*Establish efficient routes and transportation schedules.
*Coordinate Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules.
*Monitor Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices.
*Provide reports to management on schedules and fleet progress.
*Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency.
*Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.
*Keep up-to-date on routes and any changes to them.
*Work effectively in a team environment.
*Actively listen, identifying problems and making decisions to resolve issues in a manner that projects trust and fairness.
*Represent the organization in a favorable manner.
*Clear and concise documentation of orders.
Minimum Required Qualifications for the Fleet Manager Include:
*Degree in Supply Chain Management if helpful, but not required.
*Minimum of 1 year experience performing similar duties either in transportation or other industries.
*Personal chemistry and characteristics to work effectively in teams and collaborate with co-workers.
*Above average verbal and written communication skills.
*Must be proficient with MS Office.
*Must be able to type 40wpm with accuracy.
*Knowledge of transportation is required.
*Must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
