IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Logistics Manager!
Our client is well established and in search of a self-motivated individual with great relationship-building skills to join their team.
Rate of pay for the Logistics Manager is Negotiable Based on Background and Qualifications.
Full-Time Hours for the Logistics Manager are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Essential Functions for the Logistics Manager Include:
*Establish efficient routes and transportation schedules.
*Coordinate Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules.
*Monitor Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices.
*Provide reports to management on schedules and fleet progress.
*Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency.
*Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.
*Keep up-to-date on any changes that directly impact day to day operations.
*Work effectively in a team environment.
*Actively listen, identifying problems and making decisions to resolve issues in a manner that projects trust and fairness.
*Represent the organization in a favorable manner.
*Clear and concise documentation of orders.
Minimum Required Qualifications for the Logistics Manager Include:
*Some college preferred, but not required.
*Must have a successful track record of interacting with customers, vendors or internal/external staff.
*Personal chemistry and characteristics to work effectively in teams and collaborate with co-workers.
*Above average verbal and written communication skills.
*Must be proficient with MS Office.
*Ability to type 40wpm with accuracy.
*Able to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
