Job Description
Shipping & Inventory Specialist - Immediate Opening!
The Shipping & Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are ready for shipment on-time and in full. The person in this role is responsible for tracking, picking, preparing, and recording the shipment of outgoing finished products according to established procedures, customer specifications, and the transportation method used. This position may be required to drive a forklift at times and may also be required to use a pallet wrapping machine.
Hours for Shipping & Inventory Specialist are: Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Starting rate of pay is $19.57 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Shipping & Inventory Specialist:
*Coordinate and execute all shipping and receiving activities, including picking, labeling, packaging, and scheduling shipments in line with routing guidelines
*Prepare pallets safely and efficiently
*Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements related to product identification, labeling, carrier selection, routing, and documentation
*Maintain accurate inventory records and support physical inventory audits
*Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment, promoting housekeeping standards
*Support destruction of obsolete materials
*Collaborate with internal teams to resolve shipping issues or delays promptly
*Frequent movement throughout the facility; regular lifting, bending, and standing
*Visual acuity for inspecting shipments, reading labels, and using a computer system
*Manual dexterity to operate warehouse equipment and office devices
*Provide updates on shipping activities to supervisors, highlighting any notable issues
*Accept additional roles and fulfill them as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements for the Shipping & Inventory Specialist:
*High school diploma or equivalent
*At least 2 years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
*Ability to load and unload hand trucks
*Proficiency in reading order sheets and picklists
*Strong communication skills with a focus on accuracy and accountability
*Proven ability to follow safety protocols and quality control procedures
*Solid organizational and planning skills; able to prioritize and make quick, effective decisions
*Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with occasional overtime
*Reliable transportation to and from work
*Problem solving and analytical skills
*Must be detailed oriented and able to multi-task
*Physically capable of performing essential duties of job and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
